Ever wanted to be a music journalist?
Or do you just feel an irresistable urge to share your musical views with the world?
Here's your chance to let yourself be heard by being one of our official Esplanade Youths bloggers for this year's Baybeats festival, featuring the best in alternative music from Singapore and the region! To prepare you for the project, Esplanade Youths together with Audioreload will be organising a Music Journalism Workshop conducted by Straits Times reporter and musician Sujin Thomas on Saturday, 12 July at Esplanade.
After the workshop, participants will be asked attend an On the Waterfront performance taking place that evening and to write a review or musical commentary on it. Those with the best submissions will then be chosen to be one of our official EY Baybeats Bloggers! To sign up or for more information, please email Kimberly Marsh at mkimberly@esplanade.com. Registration closes on 9 July, 2008.
Details of workshop as follows:
Date and Time: Saturday, 12 July, 4.30pm - 6pm
** Venue: Esplanade **
The first set of the On the Waterfront performance will begin at 7.30pm and end at 8.15pm. You will also be required to attend this first performance set.
